Welcome to Hogwarts Distance Education, I hope you enjoy seeing our fun as much as I have had in the planning of it. Setting up my schoolroom has always been a big fun deal to me. I do rea;lize that the children are getting older, themes are kind of wasting away for them but I wanted just one more. Just one more big thing before they are just too old to really have fun with it anymore.

The idea started with a few posters and a yahoo group. Then of course we had to have a Honeydukes and before you knew it the kids had thrown around ideas, I saw Harry Potter parties online and this little idea has taken on a life of its own. Because like me my children have to go all out so to speak!

Week 4 Of Magic!!!

I keep meaning to do something really cool with that mirror! I keep running out of time and forgetting though! She started her day by checking her Owl Post and was happy to see a package delivered sometime in the night!

Her special delivery today comes from The Inked Goddess! It is a Wee Witches Altar set-up!

Week 4 Magic Fun

So we had another project week! These seem to be her favorite weeks of course. We just had to split all the books she is wanting to read and all the activities she is wanting to do because too much in one day was too overwhelming! Alternating the weeks seem to be much, much better! So we started off with potions this week and it was all about mystical sand!

Our Week 4 of Magic!

It was fairy week at our Magic Home School! We read about fairies, made a fairy craft and a fairy garden! She had a special fairy book to read so she really concentrated on that this week.

I also snagged a cool fairy coloring book for like two bucks and she was pretty happy with that!

Week 4

This week we made some Cornelious Fudge. This was a recipe from a Daily Profit that came from the group on Yahoo. It was different to say the least but the kids liked it and it was OK to me.

We are still continuing on with our studies and even added some Hogwarts Halloween decorations. Totally Foxs idea, I just followed through!

Too bad I couldn't find any small pumpkins that lit up but these will do!

For potions this week they made Chiamera Mixer.

They enjoyed seeing the color move in the milk from the gillyweed (dish soap)

They also got their Owl Scout patches for their fieldtrips to the electric company and the punkin patch!!

It was a good week!
