Welcome to Hogwarts Distance Education, I hope you enjoy seeing our fun as much as I have had in the planning of it. Setting up my schoolroom has always been a big fun deal to me. I do rea;lize that the children are getting older, themes are kind of wasting away for them but I wanted just one more. Just one more big thing before they are just too old to really have fun with it anymore.

The idea started with a few posters and a yahoo group. Then of course we had to have a Honeydukes and before you knew it the kids had thrown around ideas, I saw Harry Potter parties online and this little idea has taken on a life of its own. Because like me my children have to go all out so to speak!

Magical Learning!!!

We have made it to week 3!! I do believe her cat looks shocked that this happened! Skyler has 6 yes 6 cats but this one right here is her absolute favorite. Her name is Stella Luna after the baby bat from a book and Stella is usally wherever Skyler is.

She is enjoying her creative writing for Enchanments. My hope is that she can get to a point she will no longer need writing prompts. She is such a creative child it is hard to beleive writing is not a thing for her.

For her witch study beyond reading she made a lapbook today for her notebook. I found it at Little Pagan Acorns. I am really likeing that site for witchy stuff! I love how it teaches children about beliefs of others and takes away the evil thoughts of witches!

In Arithmancy she is learning about Numerology and her name.

She is enjoying learning about poetry as well. This little book really breaks down how to write the different types of poetry.

This week we are visiting Meghalaya which is in India. We read our Charm Post letter first off.

After reading our letter she made a notebooking page about India. She also looked up Meghalaya and learned quite a few things about this magical place! Next week we will move onto reading fables and stories from India!

        Happy Spell Casting everyone!!!!
